Kamal Ke Kofte !


Also known as - Calabash Gourd, White Flower gourd, Doodhi, Dudhi, Ghiya, Lauki.

To prepare the kofta's :

Squeeze out all the water from the grated lauki, so that the kofta's can be round and crisp when fried.



Mix all the ingredients with the lauki, make small balls and deep fry to make the kofta's :

Besan || Chopped Onions || Grated Ginger || Grated Garlic || Chopped Coriander || Chopped Green Chilies || Salt - to taste || Red Kashmiri Mirch Powder || Coriander Powder || Ajwain

๐Ÿ˜ŽTip : Add salt in the end, when the oil is hot. Else the batter will become watery and you will have issues while making balls and frying them. 

Let's start making the curry :


^ Warm some oil and add the jeera, ginger, garlic and green chilies.

^ Cook for 2-3 minutes.

^ Add onions and cook until brown.

^ Add salt to make it brown quickly.

^ Add tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes before adding the spices.


^ Add the spices
^ Mix and 'bhuno' till cooked
^ Ensure the consistency is good
^ Once cooked, add the kofta's
^ Cover and cook for 10 minutes
^ Garnish with Coriander
